Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions apply between ICAI Icelandic Center for Artificial Intelligence Ltd., ID no. 460223-0830, (hereafter, "ICAI") and the purchaser of ICAI's service unless otherwise specifically agreed upon in writing. These terms and conditions are confirmed by the purchaser's registration for a course offered by ICAI.
Purchasers must be at least 18 years old to register for ICAI courses.
Price
Price information for ICAI courses can be found on the ICAI website. Listed prices include value-added tax. All advertised discounted prices only apply to those purchasers who complete registration and payment before the discount period expires. ICAI reserves the right to cancel advertised discounts at any time.
Payment must be made concurrently with the purchaser's registration for a course, and registration is not considered valid or binding until payment is completed.
Prices are listed with reservations for typographical errors. ICAI reserves the right not to complete a sale and not register the purchaser for a course if an incorrect price has been provided. Prices may change without notice due to incorrect information or registration.
Technical Requirements
The ICAI course utilizes programs and websites such as Squarespace, Thinkific, Slack, and Zoom for instruction. Purchasers are responsible for ensuring they have access to the necessary computer equipment and software to support these programs, along with an internet connection, for the duration of the course. ICAI will not provide computer equipment to purchasers.
Although ICAI strives to ensure that all purchasers gain increased proficiency in the field of artificial intelligence upon course completion, ICAI cannot guarantee that the purchaser will attain a recognized level of competence in the field or that the course will count towards ECTS credits. Courses offered by ICAI do not count towards accredited university education. ICAI is not responsible if the purchaser does not achieve the desired outcome as expected when enrolling in the company's course.

Refunds
A full refund can be requested if course participation is canceled before the course begins.
If a purchaser terminates their course after it has begun, the course fee will not be refunded.
Course Cancellation
ICAI reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a course if the number of participants is insufficient. Registered purchasers will receive a refund of the course fee if the course is canceled.
ICAI reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a course under exceptional circumstances, even if the minimum number of participants has been reached.
Expulsion from Courses
ICAI reserves the right to expel purchasers from its courses if the purchaser violates the following rules:
(a) Purchasers must not engage in aggressive behavior towards employees, teachers, lecturers, or other course participants. Purchasers must not harass, insult, or threaten the individuals listed above.
(b) Purchasers must not engage in cheating or plagiarism in any assignment submitted during the course.
(c) Purchasers must not steal from or deceive ICAI, its employees, other course participants, or anyone else located on ICAI premises.
(d) Purchasers must not, intentionally or negligently, damage the property of ICAI, its employees, or other course participants.
(e) Purchasers must not be intoxicated or under the influence of illegal drugs during the course.
Intellectual Property Rights
All course materials, including videos, written material, images, and other content, are the property of ICAI or its licensors and are protected by copyright law. Purchasers may not copy, duplicate, distribute in any way, or create derivative works from the course materials without the written consent of ICAI.
Purchasers are not allowed to share course materials with third parties without the written consent of ICAI.
Handling of Personal Information
ICAI commits to treating all purchaser information as confidential and will only use the information for course preparation and during the course unless otherwise specifically agreed upon. The purchaser's personal information will not be shared with third parties under any circumstances, unless required by law.
Laws and Jurisdiction
These terms and conditions shall be interpreted in accordance with Icelandic law. In the event of a dispute between ICAI and the purchaser relating to the course or these terms and conditions, the parties shall make every effort to resolve the dispute amicably through mutual agreement. If unable to agree, the dispute will be addressed by the District Court of Reykjavik.
